Yacoub Ghajar is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Orchard Park, NY who attends IMG Academy. Large, well-proportioned frame, sturdy athletic build. Primary left-handed pitcher, nice pitcher's frame and build. Clean, repeatable delivery, good body control and balance throughout. Works to a high three-quarter's arm slot, shows a long, loose arm-action through the backside, has some deception and hides the ball well. Fastball up to 79 mph, has nice downhill angle from higher arm slot. Pitch also shows natural tailing action, later life when commanded down in the zone. consistently generating downhill plane with fastball topping 78 mph with command to both sides. Shows feel for breaking ball, solid depth with some sweeping tilt on offering, shows two-plane depth and slurvy shape. Can locate pitch to either side of plate. Athletic off mound, fields position well, knows how to pitch.
