Joseph Desoto is a 2016 SS/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA who attends Palos Verdes Peninsula. Desoto has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he stays low when approaching and fielding the ball on the infield with solid footwork. He flashed solid defensive tools with arm strength up to 77 MPH. At the plate, Desoto starts with a wide stance and uses a rock back load to start his swing, He has some smoothness to his swing and showed good barrel skills. Desoto squared up the ball well and looks to lift the ball. He showed some pop and showed a good path to the baseball. Excellent student.
