Chandler Coleman is a 2018 1B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends North Atlanta HS. Medium frame with some present strength and physicality. The primary first baseman graded out best at first where he showed off clean mechanics and fielded well. With a long arm action, he bends well and makes accurate throws across the diamond. Short arm action on the mound. Good command to the arm side with a leg raise up above the belt. Holds runners well and maintains velocity well into the stretch. Battles on the mound and attacks hitters with his fastball. The pitch had some sink to it. At the plate he displayed some bat speed with a pull approach. The ball travels well off the bat and the lefthanded hitter has a lifted swing path. He stayed balanced throughout the stance and showed the ability to transfer weight well with some power in his swing as well. Good student.
