Justin Rutledge is a 2017 MIF/3B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Ardmore, OK who attends Dickson HS. Medium frame, athletic build with room to fill out. Right handed hitter, wide base with hands at shoulder height in setup. Aggressive approach, can occasionally get off balance and to frontside a bit early. Long swing, strength shows up in swing mechanics, flashed solid line-drive contact to the middle of the field. Has solid feel for the barrel and works gap-to-gap. Worked out in the infield, fields out in front of body, showed adept hands with solid movement skills to either side. Compact arm-action with accurate throws across the diamond, up to 77 mph in defensive drills. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash. Very good student.
