Julian Ipac is a 2020 C/1B, 3B with a 5-11 196 lb. frame from Resaca, GA who attends Calhoun. Medium and stocky frame. Ran a 7.00 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up behind the plate in an athletic stance, good footwork coming out of crouch but will improve arm strength with additional ground gained into throws, upright release with a solid transfer and a soft mitt hand at reception, compact arm action releasing by his ear, 2.02 second best pop time. Secondary third baseman, worked out in the infield with solid footwork shuffling into his release, young hands with a 3/4 arm slot into throws, topped out at 79 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an even base, takes a leg lift trigger into contact, front foot lands early prior to a smooth stroke through the hitting zone, rotational actions to swing with a feel for the barrel, will improve jump with refinements to timing.
