Daniel Hoff is a 2017 OF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Howard Beach, NY who attends Archbishop Molloy. Young, athletic build with a lean, projectable build with room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, circles the ball well and works behind it collecting well, short arm action through the back side with a lower arm slot, gets under the ball at times, arm strength will continue to develop. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and an open stance, strides closed at beginning of swing. Line drive swing plane with full swing, shows a nice feel for the barrel with a contact approach and ability to use all fields. Patient and balanced approach, stays on the ball well, front side opens early on occasion. Good student.
