Ryan Novak is a 2023 1B/LHP, OF with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends Blessed Trinity Catholic. Tall and lean frame with room to fill. Ran a 7.24 second 60 yard dash. Primary first baseman, worked out at the position sitting back on the baseball, glove plays well with a feel for the position, good footwork around the bag and on turns to second, fundamentally sound at first base. Secondary outfielder, worked out at the position staying through the baseball, quick arm with a clean release, accurate throws up to 80 mph from the outfield. Left-handed hitter, sets up at the plate with an open stance and a high hand set, sits in his legs with an upper half dominant swing and rotational actions, line drive swing plane through the zone and will vary plane at times, best when staying level, could utilize the lower half more into the swing for additional pop off of the barrel.
