Matthew Rule is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-9 190 lb. frame from Kearney, MO who attends Kearney HS. Compact frame, strong sturdy, well-proportioned build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, big leg lift trigger, aggressive approach, swings hard. Possesses good bat speed, shows ability to get extended, has strength off of the barrel, especially to pullside. Developing power, carry with natural backspin. Good defensive tools as well, has a quick transfer and release with solid arm strength, also shows good footwork, should be reliable defender at either second or third base at next level.
