Kellen Sojka is a 2016 2B/SS with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Blue Springs, MO who attends Blue Springs South HS. Long, slender build with good room for added muscle and growth projection. Starts with a narrow, upright stance in the box, square to home plate, with a toe tap trigger into his swing. Sets up with his hands away from his body and then drops them into his load, fires forward with some bat speed and finishes with good extension after contact. Pull-field approach, shows ability to use whole field when necessary. Shows quality actions in the infield, with solid footwork and good ability to charge the baseball and field it cleanly. Accurate, on target throws to 1B with consistency. Good student.
