Hunter Silvernail is a 2017 C/OF with a 6-0 182 lb. frame from Lafayette, NJ who attends Pope John XXIII. Large, athletic build with broad shoulders and nice present strength throughout his frame. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, gets on top of throws well, short in the back on throws, shows arm strength down to second base, will continue to incorporate lower half into actions. Also played the outfield, big crow hop at start of actions, gets on top of throws well, shows strength with nice carry to the bag. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slightly open stance and weight on his back side. Compact swing with a direct path to the ball, opens front side early at times, line drive contact produces nice line drive contact. Stays balanced and can make an adjustment during an at-bat. Very good student.
