Daniel Ochoa is a 2017 2B/3B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Chula Vista, CA who attends Hilltop. Ochoa has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he has solid footwork to and through the ball. Ochoa has nice hands and clean transfers. He throws from a low arm slot with a wrist flick release. Ochoa has developing arm strength up to 71 MPH. At the plate, he starts with a slightly open stance and uses a small hand load to start his swing. Ochoa has a wristy swing and stays short to the baseball. He has some hand quickness and made solid line drive contact to the middle of the field. Ochoa has a simple approach and executed it well. Very good student.
