Ronald Vasquez is a 2019 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-6 149 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends Ray HS. Compact athletic build with some present strength. 7.32 runner, has very sound fundamental actions in the outfield, works through the ball cleanly and aggressively, quick release with good footwork, very accurate arm due to the good direction and feet. Left handed hitter, balanced stance with a good shift into contact, high contact approach that is well executed, solid line drive contact to the middle of the field, very consistent in his hitting mechanics. Also pitched, full delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, stays balanced and direction well. Fastball topped out at 79 mph with occasional tailing life, dropped his release slot significantly on a slurve type breaking ball.
