Jonah Ulane is a 2016 RHP/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Millard South. Solid athletic build with good present strength. Compact directional delivery with a side step start, tight high 3/4's arm slot, some energy at release, has a quick arm. Mid-80's fastball, hit 86-87 mph often, fastball mostly straight with good downhill plane. Good slider with tight spin and some late biting action. Tends to slow body and stiffen on change up release. Both slider and change up were better from the stretch. Good young arm and the slider shows potential as a second pitch. Right handed hitter, big high energy leg lift trigger leaves him off balance, swings hard and has good bat speed, short hand path to the ball, has hitting tools to develop with a modified load and front leg. Very good student.
