Parker Sand is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Everett, WA who attends Archbishop Murphy HS. Sand has a medium sized frame with a lean build. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He hooks the ball in back and gets on top of the the ball well out front. San gets some down plane on his fastball and he pitches with some effort. He throws a 1/7 curveball with some shape and spin to it. Sand threw a lot of strikes and threw both pitches for strikes. Defensively he showed developing footwork in the outfield with some aggressiveness to the baseball. At the plate Sand starts with an open stance with a narrow base. He has a rotational approach and takes an inside path to the baseball. He made middle of the field to opposite field contact in BP with some lift. Excellent student.
