Chad Heiner is a 2019 RHP/SS with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Huntington, WV who attends Cabell Midland. Medium frame with slender, athletic build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.51 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher, deliberate pace to windup, deception through release due to tempo, arm stroke gets offline through the back, pinches scaps into load, excellent arm speed coming through, fastball worked 82-87 mph with good leverage to bottom of zone, showed slider with late, sharp bite; also mixed in curveball with good depth. Did a very good job mixing three pitches and throwing strikes, very good feel to spin the ball. Named to 2018 Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List, verbally committed to Marshall. Very good student.
