Matt Waters is a 2016 RHP/MIF with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Leesburg, VA who attends Leesburg Christian HS. Lean, projectable build with broad shoulders and room to fill out with additional strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action in back. Steady tempo to delivery, high leg raise and lands on line with lower half. Induces weak contact, occasionally gets across body at release but locates to glove side. Fastball topped at 71 mph and locates it to both sides with occasional run to arm side. Short break on 11-5 curveball and flahsed a changeup with proper spin and fade at 66 mph. Short arm action across the diamond, moves well charging in with accuracy across. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set. Keeps hands in on swing, short path to the ball, creates contact to pull side. Very good student.
