Woody Woodruff is a 2016 C/3B, OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from APO, AE who attends Ramstein. Long, athletic frame with solid build. Primary catcher. Showed a quick release and compact arm-action, could stay lower in crouch and gain more ground with feet. Solid arm strength, best pop time at 2.02. Also showed some lateral quickness in the infield, accurate throws across diamond. Right hand hitter, uses spread stance. Has deeper load, displayed good bat speed. Middle of field approach with some solid line drive contact, able to repeat well with some feel for the barrel. Solid hitting tools that project well. Excellent student.
