Kellen Sarver is a 2017 C/3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Champaign, IL who attends Centennial HS. Has a large frame, athletic build, and sign of present strength with more to come. From behind the plate, starts in a low setup and good balance. Quick actions and footwork behind the plate with good flexibility, smooth blocking ability and lateral quickness. Generates good momentum into throws with effective transfers and arm strength up to 80 MPH with good accuracy and carry, popped as low as 1.91 seconds. At the plate, left-handed hitter that starts with a slightly open stance, wide base, and small leg lift trigger. Showed good balance and extension in swing. Displayed a short, compact swing on a line drive swing plane and a middle of the field approach. Has present bat speed and does a nice job of staying inside the baseball, advanced approach at the plate. Should continue to develop into a good next level player.
