CJ Strlekar is a 2017 RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Verona, NJ who attends Seton Hall Preparatory. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and nice present strength to frame, additional room to grow strong, long limbs and a high waist, projects nicely. Ran a 7.65 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, shows nice balance to delivery and is able to repeat them well, uses length nicely to generate extension out front. Short and quick arm action coming through the backside, works to a three-quarters arm slot at release. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, able to produce natural cut action on pitch and fills up the strike zone, follows through nicely with incorporation of lower half. Flashed a short, sweeping curveball with 10-4 shape at 69 mph, pitches to contact and able to keep hitters off balance by mixing within the zone, also flashed a changeup at 72 mph.
