Matthew Dooley is a 2019 RHP/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Lexington, SC who attends White Knoll. Medium build, thin frame with a lot of room to fill out physically. Ran a 7.31 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, submarine pitcher, mostly straight fastball that flashed occasional short armside run, mixed in a straight changeup that had a large difference in velocity from the fastball, curveball came from a higher slot and showed 11-to-5 break. Secondary second baseman who took reps in the infield at the event, moved well to the ball showing range especially to glove side, gets rid of the ball quickly releasing from a sidearm slot, cuts off follow through at times, showed average arm strength across the diamond topping out at 79 mph. Righthanded hitter, high hand set with a high back elbow, inward toe tap into stride, bat waggle into swing, showed good timing and barrel control, wiry strength when connected and the ball jumps when on time. Outstanding student.
