Thomas Benson is a 2015 RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends St Joseph. Medium, athletic build with a lean and projectable build and room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.84 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a low three-quarter arm slot with a fast, loose and full arm action in the back. High leg raise delivery with a slight hip turn at top, ball comes out of hand easily, gets across body at release at times and stays tall at release. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, generates arm side run on the pitch and works down in the zone to glove side, projects well with the incorporation of lower half. Changeup is more advanced secondary, maintains arm action on it at 75 mph with life to arm side, gets around curveball at times, tight spin with 11-5 shape. Named to Southeast Top Prospect List. Outstanding student.
