Beaux Escobar is a 2018 C/3B with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Thompson Station, TN who attends Independence High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.68 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, started with a low set, long stride, and a short arm action, with a tight release. Quicker transfer and should incorporate lower half more. Turned in a workout pop time of 2.00. At the plate, a switch hitter who showed tools from both sides. Started with a spread stance, even base, slight crouch, and a high back elbow. Simple shift to the ball with good extension from the left side. Worked pull side and up the middle with a fluid stroke to the ball. From the right side showed better power potential with more natural lift and carry off the barrel. Good student.
