Dante Vartolone is a 2017 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Paramus, NJ who attends Paramus. Tall, strongly built, lean pitcher's frame. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and works down in the zone consistently. Creates a good plane. Tops at 72 mph with his fastball and throws strikes. Mixes an 11-5 curveball with good feel and shape at 66. Attacks the zone and stays off barrels. Has a long, repeatable arm action. Also swung the bat, uses a leg kick trigger and starts from an upright, narrow stance. Flashes lift and good bat speed. Hits to the opposite field. Transfers the ball quickly and feet work well around first base. Good student.
