Jordan Volner is a 2016 1B/3B with a 6-3 221 lb. frame from Jonesboro, AR who attends Nettleton HS. Large frame with legitimate strength throughout body. Broad shoulders with some more physical projection remaining. Stands square to home plate when at bat, high back elbow with lower hand set. Leg lift trigger into deeper load, longer hand path to ball but shows very good bat speed. Very strong player, and that shows at bat. Strength-driven swing with good power at present with more coming. Up the middle approach but really looks to hit the baseball very hard and drive it out of the ballpark. Can do so with ease when squared up. Impressive power potential. Inconsistent approach but looks very good when on time and on target. Played 1B during defensive workouts. Comfortable around the bag, moves well side to side at times. Fields cleanly and throws consistently accurate to target, topping at 75 MPH across the diamond from 1B to 3B. Good student.
