Jacob Garrett is a 2016 C/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Friendswood, TX who attends Friendswood HS. Has a large frame and athletic build with long arms and room to put on additional muscle. Posted 7.25 60 yard dash. From behind the plate, quick footwork with developing actions. Short arm action on throws with good arm strength and carry. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a squared stance and a toe-tap stride with some bat wrap. Takes aggressive swings at the plate and stays inside the baseball. Raw strength off the barrel and generates some natural lift at the point of contact, strong hands. Excellent student.
