Jacob Wilson is a 2017 2B/ with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Ankeny, IA who attends Ankeny Centennial HS. Medium frame, slender build, room to put on additional muscle as he continues to mature. Ran a 6.62 60-yard dash, runs well. From the infield, fields the ball in front, short arm action, accurate throws to bases, tool set best suited for second base. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a squared stance. Short compact swing, swings on a line drive swing plane, keeps hands inside the ball, solid bat speed, good balance, flashed hard pull side contact, has some pop off the barrel. Excellent student. Named to Midwest Under Top Prospect List.
