Ben Dellacono is a 2018 MIF/3B, RHP, OF with a 6-0 135 lb. frame from Stonington, CT who attends Stonington. Medium-large frame with long, lanky present build and excellent physical projection remaining on frame. Ran a 7.24 seconds 60 yard dash. Hits from narrow, upright stance, coils front hip into load, line drive swing plane with solid barrel control, matches plane well, incomplete weight shift off of back side, made consistent line drive contact to all fields, will develop more jump off the barrel with added strength. Attacks the ball well in the infield, gets in good position to field the ball and shows good range side to side, fields ok and has quick exchange and release, throwing accurately to 1B with IF velocity up to 70 MPH. Pitched as well, shows balanced and repeatable delivery, stands tall on back side and gets downhill online to plate, high 3/4 arm slot, FB worked 72-75 with solid downhill plane. Mixed in CB with slurvy, tilting action and solid depth. Mixed pitches well and threw strikes. Very good student.
