Austin Marozas is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-7 230 lb. frame from Plainfield, IL who attends Plainfield South HS. Extra tall build with lots of mature strength. Rotational delivery with an open front side and a spin around his core, mid 3/4's to low 3/4's release slot, throws under control and repeats his delivery well. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, gets nice sinking action and has a good feel for keeping the ball low in the zone and using his fastball life. Change up has the same type of life and location. Ability to use slider is key to his game, flashed the ability to use it in the zone and as a chase pitch with big depth at times. Limited physical projection but has the makings of a workhorse college starter almost immediately. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi State.
