Zach Vander Hoek is a 2017 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Bellevue, WA who attends Bellevue HS. Medium, lean young frame with room to add strength. Hands work well at first base and moves quickly off the bag. Has quality infield actions and makes accurate throws across. Bats left-handed, works from a high hand set and has a line drive swing path. Makes hard contact to his pull side and projects to add more power. Flashes good bat speed and has a consistent swing path. Pitches from a high three-quarter arm slot and repeats his delivery well. Tops at 73 mph with his fastball and locates down. Works both sides of the plate. Shows good curveball depth with 1-7 rotation. Very good student.
