2016 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
William Gamble is a 2018 1B/3B, OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends Millbrook High School. Large frame, medium build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.60 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary first basemen, showed clean footwork around the bag, short, quick arm action, and good accuracy on feeds. At the plate, started with a wide base, slightly open stance, high hand set, high back elbow, and a toe tap into stride timing mechanism. Looked to create leverage with a swing that flashed a line drive plane. Showed goo bat speed with potential for lift. Will see improved contact with additional lower half incorporation. Exceptional student.
