Ian Landry is a 2016 RHP/3B, 1B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Richardson, TX who attends Bishop Lynch. Large, athletic frame with longer limbs and present strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.29 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works from a three-quarter arm action and shows a deliberate, well paced delivery with a high leg lift at beginning of mechanics. Remains tall on backside, quick arm action and came out attacking hitters with fastball that topped at 84 mph with riding and solid life out of hand. Curveball flashes 11-5 shape when on top of ball. Nice arm strength across infield, longer release, gets on top of throws and shows carry across with balanced actions. Right-handed hitter, starts with wide stance and hands close to body. Short path to the ball with a line drive swing plane, medium leg lift at beginning of swing for timing. Upper body swing, stays through the ball well, some effort in swing but creates line drive contact up the middle. Very good student.
