Watson Timmons is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Argyle, TX who attends Argyle High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and physical strength proportioned throughout build nicely. Quick-twitch muscle shows with 6.76 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, sound approach moving towards the ball, fields the ball out front and works into a full and loose arm action through the back, gets on top of throws well and works over front side at release, shows arm strength and accuracy on throws to intended base. Also pitched, same full arm action through the back working to a three-quarters slot, easy release and shows balance throughout, high leg kick up past belt. Lands on line with lower half, repeats arm action, fastball up to 82 mph, mostly true in life with occasional ride up in the zone. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high back elbow in the box. Does a nice job of getting closed with lower half shift moving into contact, occasionally gets to front side early but shows both looseness and quickness to hands with a line drive swing plane. Stays short and direct to and through the ball with occasional lift out front, comes off the barrel well with carry when on time. Very good student. Named to South Top-Top Prospect List.
