Matthew Boelter is a 2016 OF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from North Kingstown, RI who attends North Kingstown Senior HS. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength throughout build. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, short and quick steps to the ball, full arm action through the back with looseness, gets on top and repeats release well, works over front side, sound transfer and around the bag with throws. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high back elbow and a small step into contact to transfer weight. Short path to the ball with bat speed and creates lift at contact. Occasionally gets to front side early but shows barrel skills, remains short at contact and creates contact to all fields with feel to go to the opposite field. Good student.
