Dominic Robinson is a 2016 LHP with a 6-1 184 lb. frame from Tomball, TX who attends Tomball Memorial HS. Has a medium frame and a long lean build with room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Primary left-handed pitcher that throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and a tight arm circle in the back. Stays tall on his backside and generates good downward plane with arm side run on his fastball. Hides the ball well, tough to pick up out of his hand. Late life on his fastball gets a lot of swing and misses and hitters to chase. Curveball has 1/7 shape with good tight rotation and some late bite in the zone. Does a nice job of mixing his pitches and keeping hitters off balance. At the plate, left-handed hitter with a full swing and developing lower half. Flashed some pull side contact. Very projectable on the mound. Excellent student.
