Dylan Minghini is a 2018 C/1B, 3B with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Rock Springs, GA who attends Gordon Lee. Large frame with strong, athletic present build; body still projects well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.23 seconds. Sets up to hit with relaxed, athletic stance, open and wide base with medium-height hand set. Toe tap timing mechanism, shows good hand quickness into line drive plane with solid overall bat speed, has intent in mechanics with good shift and hip torque. Shows good ability to get barrel out on line drive plane and square the ball up, stays committed to the middle of the field and shows ability to drive the ball on a line to all fields. Worked out defensively behind the plate, receives well out front, stays low in set with good flex, has explosion in lower half out of crouch into throw down mechanics, long stride forward gaining ground with mostly good balance, throws accurately down to 2nd base bag with solid arm strength. Outstanding student.
