Cody Vannoy is a 2018 C/RHP, OF, 3B, 1B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Leander, TX who attends Rouse High School. Medium build, young, slender frame with strength in lower half, and square shoulders. Posted a 7.14 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, strong receiving skills, quick footwork, and showed good arm strength. Top workout pop time of 2.06. At the plate, started open, high back elbow, high hand set, and a leg lift timing mechanism. Fluidity to the barrel, longer hand path, leverage, quickness to hands, and the ability to make consistent line drive contact. Up the middle to pull side approach and worked up to the ball effectively. Also pitched, side step start, leg raise to belt, full arm action, and threw from a three quarter arm slot. Lands online, quick arm, and showed feel for three pitches. Worked on top of fastball well at 79-82 mph with short arm side life. Curveball showed 12/6 shape with depth, slowing arm for the pitch. Good feel for changeup with fade at 72 mph that should be utilized more. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
