Brock Burton is a 2017 2B/SS/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Desert Vista HS. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength, has room to fill out with additional strength moving forward. Strong runner, posted a 6.88 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well to the ball and shows good actions, full arm action on throws, gets on top, longer release, accurate throws, arm strength and carry will continue to develop. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance with a high back elbow in the box. Fluid and loose swing through the zone with nice weight shift through lower half, displays natural feel for barrel with ability to create loft to pull side. Generates extension out front, steady contact to pull side and has comfort going to opposite field. Verbal commitment to Grand Canyon. Named to National Underclass West. Very good student.
