Luis Rodriguez is a 2016 SS/C, RHP with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Vineland, NJ who attends Vineland High School. Athletic frame with some present strength in build. Ran a 7.80 60-yard dash. Middle infielder, shows athletic actions with nice range to either side. Moves well on his feet with good reactions, fields out front, carry will increase by getting on top of throws across. Showed a quick transfer behind the plate, long release, needs to incorporate more lower half into mechanics. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slightly open stance. Showed the ability to cover the whole plate well with a line drive swing. Stays inside the ball, some effort in swing, but is able to create contact to all fields.
