Cameron Wheeler is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Chino Hills, CA who attends Mater Dei HS. Medium athletic build, square shoulders, long limbs. Side step delivery with a long arm in back, short stride out front, high 3/4's arm slot, arm will be late at times due to length. Fastball to 84 mph, mostly straight, tends to miss up arm side due to arm being late. Curveball shows nice depth with 12/6 shape. Change up comes from the same slot and arm speed with nice late diving action. Solid secondaries and should keep improving his fastball with adjustments. Good student, verbal commitment to UC Irvine.
