James Spatafora is a 2016 OF/LHP with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Hollywood, FL who attends Nova. Medium, highly athletic frame with plus speed. Ran a 6.83 60 yard dash. Bats from both sides of the plate, uses an all fields approach and works up the middle. Has a line drive swing path and uses a leg kick trigger. Works from a wide base and stays short to the baseball. Moves well in the outfield and has sound throwing mechanics. Flashes solid arm strength. Also took the mound, reaches 79 mph from a high three-quarter arm slot. Also mixes a 74 mph slider with good feel and rotation. Knows how to mix his pitches and has an easy, clean arm action.
