Hunter Reid is a 2020 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-3 225 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Plano HS. Extra large frame with present strength and square shoulders. Ran a 7.65 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary first baseman. Fields with a deeper funnel to the body. Longer transition with clean footwork around the bag. Has some arm strength with whip in action topping out at 83 miles per hour. Righthanded hitter with a spread stance and short leg lift trigger for timing. Deep barrel load and gets extended well through contact. Long path to contact with a leveraged plane. Gets the ball in the air with some pop off the barrel when squaring it up. Secondary righthanded pitcher working from the stretch. Longer and slightly wrapped action in the back into a three-quarters slot. Creates sink action on the fastball at 82 miles per hour working down in the zone. Short fading sink to the changeup and mixes well with a 10-to-4 curveball with developing feel. Able to land both for strikes and create ground ball contact. Good student as well.
