2017 PG Top Prospect Games at TCU
Roderick Criss is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Kansas City, MO who attends Staley High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout; has quick-twitch muscle and moves well down line and on bases. Primary outfielder, does a nice job of working behind the ball, fields the ball out front and shows high energy actions moving towards the ball, full arm action and gets on top with carry on throws, present arm strength with accuracy, occasionally gets under ball on throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with an even stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, loads hands bat at start of swing. Gliding shift into contact with a full swing path through the zone, shows a handle for the barrel with swing. Linear swing path with line drive contact off the barrel, repeats swing well and works all fields, shows carry off the barrel when squared, shows bat speed through the zone. Nice tools to project upon moving forward. Named to PG Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List. Very good student.
