Jan Figueroa is a 2017 RHP with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Trujillo Alto, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy HS. Long and loose athletic build, very projectable physically. Young delivery he is still learning how to repeat, tends to spin off front side hard and loose balance and direction, arm action is loose and easy, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, have heard mid-90's frequently back in Puerto Rico, powers the ball downhill with good leverage when his delivery comes together. Curveball was soft but had good spin and some depth, tends to slow on it a bit, should be a solid pitch with repetitions. Developing change up. Has a high ceiling physically. Very good student.
