Peter Ahn is a 2017 SS/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Delafield, WI who attends Marquette. Large frame with a strong, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.59 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth, fundamental footwork while rounding and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove work while funneling the baseball out front with smooth paced exchanges while working through transition. Showed best accuracy when releasing from a three-quarters arm slot, but flashed ability to change arm angles at time. Left handed hitter with an upright, open stance and simple leg lift trigger. Shifts into contact well with linear lower half actions. Compact, direct path to contact with a line drive plane. Generated good jump off the barrel with present bat speed and strength through the zone. Created natural lift and produced solid back spin when working to contact out front to the pull side gap, but shows the barrel control to work to all fields consistently. Committed to Michigan State. Named to the 2017 National Pre-Draft Top Prospect List.
