Matthew Liberatore is a 2018 LHP/1B with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Peoria, AZ who attends Mountain Ridge HS. Extra-large, athletic build with broad shoulders, high waist, and long limbs with present strength throughout. Primary lefthanded pitcher, full hip turn at top of delivery and gets tall on backside, lands slightly open with front foot. Full and loose arm action coming through the back with extension out front from a three-quarters release point. Measured tempo to delivery, quick arm and generates solid downhill plane to fastball, comes out well and topped out at 89 mph with short running life to arm side. Lives down in zone and easy to project more velocity with additional lower half. Consistent feel for sharp curveball, tight rotation and quality depth at 76 mph, comfort to throw it in any count for a strike. Maintained velocity well on fastball out of stretch. Excellent student. Named to Junior National Top Prospect List.
