Shane Reynolds is a 2020 2B/RHP/3B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Plano, TX who attends Prestonwood Christian Academy. Incredibly young player with a medium frame, lean, slender build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.74 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moved well up the middle, good balance through actions, full arm action, and stayed on top of throws. Clean transfer skills with accuracy to the bag and developing arm strength. At the plate, larger leg lift timing mechanism and a limited weight shift. Repeated swing path well with a line drive swing plane. Showed raw bat speed and will continue to see improved results with additional strength. Also pitched, started with a leg lift past belt, side step start, upbeat tempo, crossfire action, short, compact arm action, and threw from a tight three quarter arm slot. Fastball worked around the zone with mostly true life and occasional cut when working glove side. Worked very well through the ball with above average extension. Repeated mechanics well for age and should add to fastball with additional drive to plate. Curveball up to 62 mph with 12/6 shape and good depth out of the hand.
