Dan Marcacci is a 2007 RHP with a 6'4'', 190 lb. frame from Jupiter FL, who attends Jupiter HS. He has a very nice pitcher's body, with a tall angular build and plenty of room to get stronger. Marcacci has sound, balanced pitching mechanics that enable him to throw consistent strikes. He pulls down hard on his front side at release, which can cause him occasional balance/consistency problems on his release. Marcacci's fastball was as high as 86 mph and he pitched throughout the mid to low 80's. He has some life occassionally on his fastball but it was mostly straight. His breaking pitch was a 69 mph curveball that had some depth to it. Marcacci also threw a 76 mph change up. All his pitches are projectable at his current age and with his sound mechanics. Marcacci also showed some raw power at the plate with a long, levered swing. He is a very good student off the field.
