PG Grade: 9
Jeffrey Eubank is a 2007 right hand hitting outfielder from John Carroll HS, residing in Stuart, FL. Eubanks is an athletic player, with a strong and lean build on his 6'0" 170 lb. frame. Though PG National was not his best performance, he has good tools and approaches the game in a hard nosed manner. He hits from an open stance and is aggressive at the plate. He can really run and does have some power, though it seems as though he is more interested in swinging for power than in swinging for line drive contact and using his legs. When he was staying patient, his barrel lagged behind and got square at contact, resulting in good oppo contact. There were enough times though when he cleared his hips and took the barrel around the ball, resulting in a lot of contact below the meat to the bat. Eubank does have good bat speed and is going to be an offensive force in college, but it will take an adjustment in his approach and total understanding of how he can best impact the game. In the outfield he is a plus runner and tracks the ball very well. With a strong arm that tracks, he can play all outfield positions. Eubanks took good angles to the ball and looked comfortable in centerfield. His 4.46 home/1st time reflects the size of his swing, evident with his 6.61 laser timed 60 yard dash. He is a talented player and should make quite an impact at the D1 level, early on. His skill set profiles well for the pro game, and after development in college, he should have a chance to play pro ball.
