Brock Mosier is a 2016 LHP/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from El Cajon, CA who attends Valhalla HS. Medium frame with loose, athletic build, projects to fill out in coming years. Primary left handed pitcher, has an up-tempo delivery that provides some deception. Hides ball well, quick arm works well and pitches jump on opposing hitters from low three-quarter's arm slot. Fastball up to 82 mph, offering has big life with run and sink down in the strike zone. Able to pound zone with fastball to set up breaking ball in mid-60s that flashes good two-plane life and late depth. Also shows feel for a straight changeup in mid-70s. Ability to throw strikes with three pitches, with good knowledge of how to pitch. Also plays outfield, displayed compact arm-action and accurate throws to bases. Left handed hitter, narrow feet with upright stance, hands will get deeper at times. Shows ability to get extended, pull-oriented contact, can reach a bit at times.
