Philip Kean is a 2017 SS/3B, RHP with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Coral Springs, FL who attends Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS. Has a medium frame and strong build, present strength throughout. Posted 7.33 second sixty yard dash. From the infield, showed good footwork to the baseball putting himself in a good position to throw. Showed ability to throw from multiple arm slots with solid arm strength and carry. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a high hand set and front hip coil. Gets lower half activated and incorporated nicely in swing, has strength in hands and barrel whip through the zone. On the mound, showed fluid mechanics while staying balanced. Worked the zone well and threw a lot of strikes. Incorporated lower half getting drive. Fastball had late life down to the plate, slider had good break and was used as an out pitch. Excellent student.
